By ZENDY VICTORIA SUE G. VALENCIA
in dreams:
he comes to me with the heaviness of water
either in the dead of night, or just before daybreak.
he comes to me like an onrush of something huge—
a crashing wave.
and i drown in his weight.
or, he would just leave me
wordless.
a blank slate—-tabula rasa .
and I would not write at all.
instead I would watch him dance
in and out of my mind,
like a restless wind.
and i am left wanting
his eyes that are made of stars.
his fingers——outstretched,
the sun’s rays.
his hands, fire
on my skin.
he comes to me with the heaviness of water.
