Studes take part in Org fair
By MARIANNE ANGELA B. DEE
STUDENTS from the Faculty of Arts and Letters (Artlets) flocked the Quadricentennial Square last July 11 to 15 to take part in the Faculty’s annual organization fair.

The Faculty’s 10 societies, 12 organizations, four political parties, and the Artlets Student Council (ABSC) took part in the fair.

Dubbed as Cyborg or “Choose Your Best Org,” the week-long fair was incorporated with a modern Greek theme inspired by the Greek goddess of wisdom, Athena.

The fair was divided into the House of Titans, Demigods, Olympians, and the Parthenon to represent the Faculty’s societies, organizations, political parties, and student council, respectively.

According to ABSC vice president for internal affairs Kathryn Caday, the council decided to move the organization fair outside the building to avoid the overcrowding of hallways and disruption of classes.

“We brought it (the fair) at the Quadricentennial Square because we do not want the organizations to crowd the building or the pavilions, producing noise while the classes are on-going. It is the best place for students to be able walk around the fair,” Caday said.

The fair traditionally occupies the three pavilions in front of the St. Raymund’s building but was moved inside the building last year.
