Three Artlets studes to attend nationwide summit
By CANDISSE LOUISSE G. AMORANTO
THREE students from the Faculty of Arts and Letters (Artlets) were chosen as delegates in the sixth Aboitiz Future Leaders Business Summit (AFLBS) to be held at Cebu City on August 19 to 20.

Legal Management seniors Rochelle Obleno and Rhodel Sazon, and Journalism senior Marie Angeline Pagulayan will represent the University in the nationwide summit along with six other delegates from the
Faculty of Engineering.

“We (delegates) have to make sure that an excellent representation of the University must be done so that we can show everyone what Thomasians got,” Sazon said.

Participants were chosen based on their academic achievements, contribution in extra- curricular activities, community involvement, and the conducted interview.

“This summit will give students the opportunity to explore the fields of leadership and business in a non-academic perspective. In that way, we will be able to see the bigger picture, and the society that we
will be part of as would-be professionals,” Pagulayan said.

The two-day conference looked for 90 promising college students all over the country with competence and ability to excel. It scouted different schools to challenge students to step out of their collegiate mindset and exhibit themselves in a more professional field.

With the theme “Inspiring Leaders for a Better Future,” the summit aims to provide motivation, learnings, and skills on improving the knowledge of the younger generation about matters dealing with leadership and business.

The summit will hold plenary discussion, games, and teambuilding activities that aim to promote real work and business atmosphere among its delegates
