‘Pautakan’ alumni soar in int’l quiz bee competition

FORMER Pautakan contenders from the Faculty of Arts and Letters (Artlets) made it in the top ten list of the Philippine Leg of the World Quizzing Championship (WQC) held at the Murphy’s Irish Pub in Makati
City last June 4.
Political Science graduates Wilfred Ritona, who gained 91 points, took the second place while David Nadora, Jr., who scored 79 points, bagged the sixth place in the competition.
Ritona ranked 368th among the 1,483 participants from the 32 countries who participated in the event.
Aside from the two Artlets alumni, Faculty of Engineering alumnus Rhovee Vistan bagged the seventh place in the Philippine leg of the WQC with 75 points.
The Philippines ranked 21st garnering 292 points in the overall top-performing nations.
The WQC is an international quiz competition that covers entertainment, culture, lifestyle, sciences, history, media, sports, and world categories. It is organized by the International Quizzing Association.
